A six-day film festival featuring more than 170 films from 31 countries starts Tuesday at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. The 2026 Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation and Technology, or PFCAT, runs Aug. 18-23 and includes more than 100 animated films, 30 world premieres and more than 120 U.S., West Coast, Pacific Northwest and Oregon premieres. PFCAT will feature the Oregon premiere of “Sender,” a psychological thriller starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Britt Lower and Rhea Seehorn.
