Our tickets are sold through OMSI’s website and will go on sale in early July 2025
Question: Do I need to reserve a ticket for screenings ahead of time?
Answer:
We highly recommend that you reserve a pass online ahead of time, as screenings do sell out. If you are a VIP passholders and do not reserve your ticket ahead of time, you will be welcomed into the theater at the film’s starting time if there are still seats once all ticketed attendees have been seated.
Question: What does a VIP pass include?
Answer: For the 2025 festival, there are two types of Festival Passes -one includes all screenings and panels, and the other includes all screenings, panels and access to three festival parties.
Advance reservations are recommended and you can use your ticket code to reserve passes for specific screenings. Please note that both types of festival passes do not include admission to our limited-admission VR Showcase, and those passes must be reserved separately.
Question: What is disability access like at the festival?
Answer: For arrival, OMSI offers 8 accessible parking spaces, and guests may also be dropped off and picked up at the loading area by the main entrance. Question: Is the festival good for kids?
Answer: Yes! Everything before 5pm Saturday and Sunday is designed to be appropriate for all-ages. Check out the film detail pages for specific information about the content of each film.
Question: Are food and beverages available? Can I eat in the theater?
Answer: Yes, and yes, Please check OMSI’s website for details on the exact hours when Theory restaurant and the Empirical café are open. Drinks, sandwiches, pizza and more will be on sale through the festival and can be eaten during the screenings.
Question: How do I get to OMSI?
Answer: OMSI is located at 1945 SE Water Ave Portland, OR 97214. The OMSI TriMet station connects with MAX, bus and the streetcar. It is also located near bike paths and the Tilikum crossing bridge.

Question: What is parking like?
Answer: OMSI has a dedicated parking lot and you can pay for parking through the Parking Kitty app or at the parking kiosks in the North and South parking lots.
Please note that parking in the OMSI lots is limited Saturday and Sunday August 9th and 10th due to the Portland Hot Sauce Expo.
OMSI parking costs $5 (+ fees) for 2 hours or $8 (+ fees) for all day parking. Guests arriving at 5pm or later can expect to pay a flat fee of $2 (+ fees) for the evening.
