
Gavin Farrell
Gavin “Django” Farrell is an Emmy-winning immersive media pioneer whose career bridges fine art and cutting-edge technology. A RISD-trained illustrator and muralist, Farrell transitioned into digital storytelling through animation, panoramic photography, and 360° filmmaking. As co-founder and Director of Innovation at Panogs LLC, he has produced acclaimed virtual and dome-based experiences for global landmarks and major media brands. His work on Capturing Everest—a groundbreaking VR documentary—earned a Sports Emmy for Digital Innovation. More recently, Farrell co-produced The Earth Above, an award-winning fulldome film exploring Australia’s geologic past through aerial cinematography. Known for developing custom VR drones and immersive camera systems, Farrell’s technical artistry pushes the boundaries of visual experience. His installations at the Seattle Space Needle and Time Magazine’s iconic One World Trade Center panorama exemplify his ability to fuse storytelling, interactivity, and scale. As a dome film judge, he brings a deep understanding of narrative immersion, visual dynamics, and next-gen capture workflows
