We’re partnering with the podcast Nice Shorts to produce a special series of interviews with stop-motion animators featured in our 2026 program.

This collaboration will spotlight a small group of filmmakers, offering a closer look at their process, influences, and the realities of working in stop-motion today.

Nice Shorts is hosted by Fu Yang and Johnny Knittle, who bring a thoughtful and filmmaker-focused approach to conversations about short-form storytelling. This series is a way to spend more time with the work and the people behind it.

For those who have submitted films: all notifications will be sent on June 22. The full festival lineup will be announced in mid-July.
